Panic And Anxiety

Gayla uses EFT for panic

Important Note: This article was written prior to 2010 and is now outdated. Please use my newest advancement, Optimal EFT. It is more efficient, more powerful and clearly explained in my free e-book, The Unseen Therapist™.  Best wishes, Gary

Hi Everyone,

Panic comes upon us all from time to time. Sometimes it is a full blown panic attack and sometimes it is an uncontrolled emotional state that needs immediate calming. In either case EFT can serve as an effective "emotional first aid." Gayla Sanders shares her experience in this regard.

Hugs, Gary

The focus of this experience is about my EFT needs for my panic during an emergency on our farm. Over the course of several days, I tapped to reverse my mare's focus (emotionally, physically, and mentally). She had a complete turn around and was better than before. But before I could help her, I had to help myself.

The background of my situation:  Recently, Aurora, a ½ Drum filly was born on our farm.  Her dam Odella (a Belgian), is our #1 emotional therapy horse and a very dear friend. Aurora is Odella's 1st foal and she is an excellent mother.

Things didn't go so well during that first week. Odella refused to be separated from the herd and the herd, being the baby lovers that they are, refused to leave her side.

In less than 2 days, Odella was displaying signs of distress from over-stimulation due to the constant, intense attention from the herd. She started refusing to eat or drink, and she was no longer producing enough milk or talking to Aurora, who was slowly losing strength.

Odella had no fever or any sign of illness. I thought she had chosen to die. I seriously couldn't see us managing to hand feed Aurora every 3 hours around the clock, for the next 3 months. I was panic and grief stricken. I couldn't bear to lose Odella.

I knew before I could tap for Odella I would have to release my fears - or at the very least - bring them down to a minimum. I was pressed for time. The sooner I got myself under control, the sooner I could make a difference for Odella. This is the gist of my tapping:

Even though I am scared to death that Odella is dying…

Even though I can't seem to feel anything but fear…

Even though my fear is intensified because Odella won't let us separate her from the herd…

I tapped about 3 rounds using reminder phrases like:

I am so afraid, I am out-of-my-skin-upset.

Odella won't let us help her and she's drying up.

I can't calm down, but if I don't calm down, I can't help Odella.

I'm afraid she's going to die.

If she dies, then we'd have to feed Aurora around the clock and we just can't do that.

We'd have to send Aurora to a foaling barn where they have a 24 hour staff to feed foals.

Then I'd be robbed of my friendship with Odella and my favorite time with a foal.

Odella dying is not an option.

I choose to let go of this fear, so I can help Odella live and Aurora to thrive.

This fear is no longer of any value to me. I release it in exchange for a calm, clear mind that is able to follow intuition with clarity.

I intend to focus on reversing Odella's situation. I know I can help her choose to live.

I know I can help her start producing enough milk for Aurora to thrive.

I am able and choose to pass through this ordeal with courage, strength, and the conviction I am able to help Odella make a complete recovery.

A calmness came over me and it was at this time that I was able to see that Odella was shutting down due to feelings of vulnerability. With the core issue in hand, Odella's positive response was evident by the next time I went out to check on her.

EFT provided me with the relief and confidence I needed to excel in this scary situation.

Gratefully yours,

Gayla Sanders
