One EFT phone session resolves driving test anxiety -- and the benefits expand

Hi Everyone,

For most issues, EFT can be done very effectively over the phone. You will see this clearly as Sandy Kumskov from Australia collapses a driving test anxiety for her client. Note that the phone session results in many "side benefits" and that Sandy's client continues to use EFT for "on the spot" problems.

Hugs, Gary

Dear Gary,

I thought you might find as much enjoyment in the following story as I did.

A young woman we’ll call Honour, age 18, had previously attended a few of my group workshops and was very in tune with her emotions and her body’s energy holding patterns.  Honour called me just after she finished high school (which is at the end of a calendar year here in Australia) because she had great fear about taking her driving test the following day, and also finding a job in her “gap year” before going on to a University. We were able to deal with both issues in a single phone session as they were so closely overlapping for her.

We tapped all over her driving test fears which were, as you’d expect, quite complex and very immediate (it was happening the next day):

Even though thinking about what I have to face tomorrow makes my stomach feel tight…

Even though I’m afraid I’ll fail and then I’ll be embarrassed in front of my sister...

Even though I’m just terrified to think about the examiner in the car with me watching everything I do…

We tapped on every aspect that came up for her; and when that set of fears was zero on a scale of 0 to 10, we future-paced (imaged) the driving test itself, and tapped all over every aspect of that until she reported she was looking forward to the test with excitement!

Then we moved on to her job fear and not surprisingly it was already much reduced.  But we tapped all over it as well – fear of potential employers liking her, fear of not performing well in unknown but looming tests, fear of being unemployed and poor, as so on.

When she rated that set of fears as gone, we future-paced all the interview aspects which came up for her, plus a few I tossed in from my aged perspective of the job market.  Always a joy to work with, Honour left our call promising to let me know how she did with the test.

She called the next day, rapt – she’d blitzed her driving test.  Not only that, her driving instructor who accompanied her to the test said he’d never seen a student face the test with such calm confidence; AND she did a shortened test because the tester recognised her driving confidence matched her skill!  She was so grateful for EFT.

Two days later she called again, even higher (if that’s possible), to say she’d found her perfect gap year job, in a government call centre.  It had great hours, great training, great people, great money (around $20/hr, more than she’d hoped for!)  I was so happy for her accomplishments and her joy, it quite lifted my day.  You’d think that was the end of the story, but….

Last week her mother gave me an update: Honour had received an ‘honourable mention’ in team meetings for her outstanding handling of very irate callers upset with being caught doing the wrong thing in the face of a particular government policy.  Remember, Honour is just 18 and just out of school!

Mum wanted to tell me that Honour’s secret irate-client-management weapon was – yes, EFT.  As soon as she had such a caller on the phone she’d begin tapping, privately in her cubicle.  Her anxiety would settle quickly and she was able to deal effectively with the caller.  After a few such calls she was rarely bothered by callers’ strong responses, and confident knowing that if anxiety did flare again she knew exactly how to handle it. It’s such a delight to have people actually use the tools they learn and get such great results. EFT is a gift to the world Gary, thank you for your generosity.

The next step is getting her to tell her boss how she handles the stress and of course I’d be delighted to run a stress-management workshop for them.  I should call her and get her to tap through any reservations she has about that.

Warm regards from a chilly Brisbane,

Sandy Kumskov
