An emergency EFT session to release the shock and trauma from a car assault led to a release of the fear and shakes to a complete shift in personal identity.  You will see the value of using EFT as soon as possible after a traumatic event and how in this case led to some core identity issues.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I received a call one evening asking for an emergency session.  Ivonne (not her real name) had just been assaulted in her car and she was shaken up.  She stopped at a street light and someone came up from behind on the passenger side of her vehicle, broke the window and took her purse, computer, cell and iPod.  She was physically all right, but lost all of her money, her identification and information on her computer.
This assault reminded Ivonne of previous assaults that she had survived.  She has been working on her issues with abuse and not being appreciated.  She felt that she had made a big shift.  Then wham, came this assault to remind her that she wasn’t ok, wasn’t good enough and still isn’t good enough.  She was filled with fear.  We tapped on the following:
Even though something horrible happened to me…
Even though I feel fear all over my body and mind, I choose to get rid of this fear.
Even though I thought last night that I had gotten rid of all of the past, something had to happen to let me know that I am not ok and that bad things happen to me, I choose to understand that this is not the truth and that now I can erase this belief.
All the fear, I throw it away.
All the fear, the experience, the beliefs
I send light and peace to my body and mind.
I receive love and respect because I deserve it.
I deserve to be treated well from here on.
Ivonne felt a lifting of the fear but that underlying this assault she felt that in some way she was punishing herself.  Ivonne remembered that her mother always told her that if something good happens to you, then something bad must follow.  We tapped:
I am resistant to feeling good even though mentally I know I deserve prosperity and respect.
I’m mad at myself more than I am with the man who robbed me.
He was listening to my “energy” and responded.
I forgive myself for drawing this experience to me.
It could have been worse.  I still have my life.
I punish myself because I didn’t hide my things.
For some reason these things weren’t necessary for me.
They are only things, nothing more.
I have a belief that every time I’m successful, something bad must happen.
My parents told me that I couldn’t be successful.
My mom said that if something good happened, then something bad will follow.
I didn’t realize I believed this, but now I see I do.
I choose to break this belief.
I have something more important – my life, my talent, my potential, my love and more.
Then it came to me that losing these physical items that represented her was a blessing.  She could go out and get all new identification with new photos, new concept and beliefs about herself. We tapped:
I lost all of my old identity and anything that held me or connected me to it, my past, the way people used to treat me, the way I used to feel about myself and all that connected me to the old victimized me.
Now I can go out and get my new identification, a new driver’s license, passport, wallet, computer and iPod that will represent the new me, the new freer me, free of the old expectations, complete with new photos of who I am now.
I choose to remove the tie I have with my “things.” I can get a new license, money, purse, papers, passport, computer, phones, iPod.
I’m going to use this opportunity to change my identity.
What I lost was my old identity, the one that says I’m not good enough, that bad things always happen to me, I’m not a success.
I’m going to use this experience as a way to change my perspective that I’m a victim, that people abuse me, that rich people are bad, that it is dangerous to be rich and that I need to punish myself it no one else does.
That was my old personality.  Now I have a new identity.  I am good, talented, secure, and prosperous, with friends, get respect, am successful and I’m rich in all aspects.
That’s why I can be grateful for all that has happened.
I fill my body with love and security and beliefs that I can be successful and afterwards everything goes well.
She liked this image so much that after the tapping the rest of her fear and anxiety left. Something that could have been a major trauma leading to fear of going out, driving and more, became a tool for allowing herself to be her true self.
