Motion sickness averted through "Chasing the Pain."

Debbie Falzon successfully applied EFT to a new acquaintance for motion sickness. Along the way she used our "Chasing the Pain" procedure (just follow the body sensations as they change and use EFT on each of them). This brief account displays Debbie's method.

Dear Gary,

I met a friend's sister and her daughter when they were on a visit from Argentina. About a week prior to them returning to Argentina I was informed they both suffered with motion sickness and had thrown up all the way from Argentina to Sydney and then to Perth, so obviously they were dreading the plane trip back home.

I asked my friend - I'll call her Jessica - if her sister, Monica, would like to try EFT. She said she would but she didn't speak a word of English so I had Jessica interpret.

The 0-10 intensity level just thinking about the trip back home was at a 10 so we did a couple of EFT rounds on dreading the trip back home to take the edge off ... and then focused on the flight to Australia. We did a lot of "chasing the pain" - sickness in the stomach, heaviness in the chest, lump in the throat, etc - and even with the interpreting it only took about 15-20 minutes. GC: Note that Chasing the Pain was introduced in our DVD set "Steps Toward Becoming The Ultimate Therapist". I then asked her to imagine the flight again in detail and she had an intensity of 1, but by this stage she'd had enough so we left it at that.

I spoke to Jessica a couple of weeks after Monica had returned to Argentina to find out how the flight went and she said, "I can't believe it. She wasn't sick once. Isn't that unbelievable?" What was interesting though was I didn't work with her daughter and she threw up all the way to Argentina.
