Hi Everyone,

Here's a brief idea by AnaMaria Herrera for those times when you may be flustered or frustrated.

I wanted to share one of my favourite 'quickie' techniques using EFT.  I call it the 'Let it be Easy Technique.'  It is particularly great when you find yourself feeling flustered and frustrated.  Some situations that might elicit these feelings are:

  • Being stuck in traffic
  • Figuring out something on the computer
  • Making a phone call and being put on hold for an ungodly amount of time
  • Waiting in line
  • Looking for something you have misplaced.

For this technique you don't need to say a formal setup statement but just chose one of the EFT points - or “your point” if you have discovered it.  I like the karate chop or the collarbone point.  For example, if you are working on the computer and find yourself getting frustrated, continually tap on the collarbone point and say either silently or aloud, Let it be easy, Let it be easy.  Take deep breaths and tap continually until you feel the shift of the tension dissipating and being replaced by calm and a centered feeling.

The other day I was figuring out a new software program and was getting frustrated.  Luckily on my computer I have a little coloured sticky note that says, "Let it be easy."  So immediately I was reminded to start tapping.  Sometimes, I will include my name in the statement as well: AnaMaria, Let it be easy.

I think two things happen.  First, we are reminded to bring EASE into our tasks.  The task can still be challenging, stimulating or interesting but we are removing the energy of forcing something to happen and replacing it with the energy of ease and flow.  And second, tapping the EFT points while saying this statement gives it the staying power.  It imprints the feeling and experience of ease and relaxation in our mind, body and spirit.

Next time you find yourself flustered or frustrated do the 'Let it be easy' technique and find yourself grounded and calm to handle whatever is in front of you.
