Releasing childhood beliefs about money reaps rewards

EFt Tapping Outdated ImageNote: This is one of 3,000 articles written prior to the updated Gold Standard (Official) EFT Tapping Tutorial™. As a result, it is likely outdated. It provides practical uses for EFT Tapping but you should also explore our newest advancement, Optimal EFT, by reading our free e-book, The Unseen Therapist™, and/or get help from a Certified EFT Practitioner.

Note: This article assumes you have a working knowledge of EFT. Newcomers can still learn from it but are advised to peruse our Free Gold Standard (Official) EFT Tutorial™ for a more complete understanding.

Hi Everyone,

It's interesting how one's change of attitude about money can radiate into the outer world. It's as though people pick up on our financial attitudes and act in a way to match our beliefs. Note how Paul Zelizer addresses some of his client's limiting financial beliefs so that new financial rewards "show up." Coincidence? You be the judge.

Hugs, Gary

Fred came to see me because he wanted to change his financial situation. A recent economic downturn had impacted his massage business. He wasn't getting many clients in his private practice and the spa where he worked on contract wouldn't reduce the number of massage therapists even though they were booking fewer clients.

In the interview, at the beginning of our session, Fred said he was now averaging two clients a day where in the past it was six or seven. He was stressed out about money, afraid that he wouldn't be able to support his family and uncertain what he should do next.

Fred had grown up as a child in a missionary family. His family had spent years in several very remote places as part of their missions. While Fred had some incredible experiences growing up in such an environment, he said he also learned some things about money that were not helping him now.

Over the course of the hour long session, we tapped on six different aspects of Fred's money issues.  We tapped on:

Even though there is all this stress in my body around money…

Even though I hardly even saw money during much of my childhood…

Even though I learned from my parents that money is a bad thing…

Even though I have this belief that a spiritual person can't have much money…

Even though I learned from my parents that too much money is dangerous…

Even though I would like to earn more money, but I don't know how to earn more money…

It was an emotional session for Fred and there were some tears. By the end of the hour Fred looked much more relaxed and he reported feeling calm and at peace.

GC COMMENT:  I am thrilled that Fred got results with this approach.  However, this article was written before our updated Gold Standard (Official) EFT Tapping Tutorial™ and we now have a more efficient approach which would likely bring deeper results for more people.  It involves aiming EFT at the actual Specific Events (e.g. precisely when things were said, beliefs were installed, etc.).  These are the true causes of these limiting financial beliefs and it is best to address them as directly as possible.  See Uncovering Specific Events - An Essential Concept Within the EFT Tapping Process

About three weeks later, I got a call from a very excited Fred. He had completed a second interview for a new job in a new field. It would be a steady paycheck at a good rate with benefits for the whole family. Fred also said he was excited about the work.

Fred got the job. Not only that, but Fred's new employers were so excited about him that they volunteered to pay him thousands more than had been discussed in the interviews. And, they had already negotiated a significant raise after Fred's probationary period if he completed it successfully.

I saw Fred recently. He had on brand new clothes and looked about 5 years younger and 10 pounds lighter. Both Fred and his wife were beaming. I have successfully worked with clients on money issues before. But, this is the first time that I have seen one session results on abundance issues.

Gary, once again I'd like to say thank you for EFT.

With gratitude,

Paul Zelizer
