EFT in 12 Step programs - a perfect place to address specific events

Important Note: This article was written prior to 2010 and is now outdated. Please use my newest advancement, Optimal EFT. It is more efficient, more powerful and clearly explained in my free e-book, The Unseen Therapist™.  Best wishes, Gary

Note: This article assumes you have a working knowledge of EFT. Newcomers can still learn from it but are advised to peruse our Free Gold Standard (Official) EFT Tutorial™ for a more complete understanding.

Hi Everyone,

Kelly End provides a superb idea for those in 12 steps programs. Part of the process is to discuss personal issues and this, of course, is fertile ground for EFT. It's one thing to discuss these topics but it's quite another to reduce them down to specific events and use EFT on them. The difference in results can be dramatic.

Hugs, Gary

I have been using EFT since my husband and I met a nice Canadian couple at a wedding. The woman said that, though it makes her husband nervous, she tells everyone about EFT and uses it on herself and with her clients in her practice as a social worker.

I looked up the EFT website, used it successfully on myself, sent for all the DVDs and haven't looked back since. Now I tell everyone about it. I've found a particularly helpful arena within which to use EFT which I've yet to hear about from anyone else.

My husband and I are very active in 12 step programs and have been for over 20 years. I sponsor a lot of women and thus listen to lots of "inventories." These inventories (steps 4 and 5) are events of fear, anger and shame.

Shortly after learning EFT I started teaching it to my sponsees (those I sponsor and for whom I provide consultation) and have them use it while they read their inventory aloud to me. This is often a very emotional and tearful experience and loaded with specific events for which EFT could prove exceptionally helpful. It occurred to me that it would be unfortunate to let this opportunity go by to collapse core issues which have often ruined marriages, jobs, health and self esteem.

I have witnessed remarkable results. My sponsees love EFT and go on to use it long after the initial 12 step work is completed. I have seen women who deeply hate themselves transformed into empowered, loving, able human beings. The 12 steps are legendary in their power to help people heal, but with EFT, the heavens open up!

Thank you Gary for all you do. Your love for others and your mission to help heal the world comes through loud and clear in your marvelous DVDs.
