I had the opportunity about a year ago to work with a 6 year old boy who stuttered. He was fairly comfortable with EFT by that time (although I don't think this is really necessary), and it worked very nicely. The Setup phrase was "I really, really like myself even though I have trouble talking." I did the tapping for him as he was quite an uncoordinated child. You could have knocked me over with a feather when, after a couple of sets, he was speaking with no stutter!!! His mom was also amazed, and this just further confirmed for her power of this amazing technique. But, the person who was the most amazed was the child psychiatrist, who really thought this "weird stuff" was right out of left field!

I must tell you that this boy's stuttering did not clear up completely, but rather came back the next day. However, it was not as severe, and he had longer and longer periods of time with not stuttering. From time to time, when it became troublesome, they would tap for the stuttering, and his ability to speak clearly would improve. It is now about 1 year later and he is now speaking with no stutter at all!!!

I also used the collarbone breathing exercise regularly with this boy and his brother, and believe that it is another essential part in working with children who are experiencing difficulties (esp. in focusing, concentrating, and staying grounded - works GREAT with ADHD kids).

Hope this is somewhat helpful.
