Bee sting swelling subsides as a "side benefit" of an EFT session

This article by Stefan Gonick points out one of the "EFT positive side benefits" that often occur during an EFT session. Stefan "took the edge off" of a swollen eye (due to a bee sting) for his client and then proceeded to address her serious emotional issues. As the session came to a conclusion, the remaining problem with the swollen eye had become history.

Hi Gary,

I wanted to share a fun little EFT anecdote with you.

Recently, a client of mine came in to continue working on some serious abuse issues. However, at the beginning of the session she was obviously distracted, and I asked her what was wrong. She said that she had been stung by a bee near her left eye over the weekend, that she was allergic to bee stings, and her eye was swollen and very irritated. It was then that I brilliantly noticed (smile) that her left eye was indeed swollen and only about halfway open.

I suggested tapping on the symptoms (even though I'm allergic to bee stings and my left eye is swollen and very irritated...). We just did two shortcut EFT sequences, and then I asked her if she noticed any difference. She said that the swelling felt like it had gone down some and her eye was feeling less irritated. At this point, we could have tapped more, but I figured that we had taken the edge off enough to start working on the serious emotional issues.

At the end of the session I asked her about her eye, and she said that the swelling was almost completely gone and her eye wasn't bothering her anymore. The tapping for the other issues seemed to have finished the job of treating her bee sting. It was a cool side benefit of the session.
