Hi Everyone,

Giving up an addiction can be a challenge, even with EFT.  In most cases, it takes some methodical detective work to uncover the core emotional drivers and Specific Events that contribute to an addiction.  Sometimes, though, we get surprisingly fast results. Such was the case with Manfred Luck from Australia.  Note how he managed to uncover the core issue quickly.  See Uncovering Specific Events - An Essential Concept Within the EFT Tapping Process and The EFT Personal Peace Procedure.  These often go hand in hand for addictions.

Hugs, Gary

Dear Gary,

Thank you for this elegant and easy to use tool you've made so available. I've been using EFT for about 3 years on myself and my Homeopathic clients with consistently good results. Recently I was reading about emotional drivers and out of curiosity addressed my pack a day 45 year long smoking addiction which I quite enjoyed and had no real intention of giving up.

With muscle testing I got that there was an incident at the age of 11, a couple of years before I started smoking, where I felt overwhelmed by my love for my cousin. In my innocence I had tried to express my love in some way to her and been rebuffed. There was a fair amount of intensity on it being not OK to have this much feeling which collapsed after a few rounds of standard EFT.

I remember thinking that I could stop smoking now if I wanted to ... which I didn't.

A few days later I was doing some work and was just about to have my morning cigarette and looking forward to it when these 3 dogs came up to me for pats and loving and we all really got into it and I allowed myself to express my love for them.

When I stood up a few minutes later the desire to smoke was gone. Three months since then, there have been no cigarettes and no effort. And it's OK to have feelings and it's OK to love.

GC COMMENT:  Note how Manfred managed to uncover the core issue quickly.  Also, see Uncovering Specific Events - An Essential Concept Within the EFT Tapping Process and The EFT Personal Peace Procedure.  These often go hand in hand for addictions.

With gratitude,

Manfred
