Loud noises no longer bother 3 year old girl

Important Note: This article was written prior to 2010 and is now outdated. Please use my newest advancement, Optimal EFT. It is more efficient, more powerful and clearly explained in my free e-book, The Unseen Therapist™.  Best wishes, Gary

Hi Everyone,

Giselle Walsh's 3 year old daughter, after many EFT tries, finally gets over a fear of loud sounds. Note that the breakthrough came when the little girl voiced the problem herself (rather than Mom doing it).

Hugs, Gary

Hi Gary,

I purchased your DVD’s and have been ‘playing’ with EFT for a few months now and had even had some small successes with soothing my infant son, but just HAD to share my experience last night with you.

My daughter has had a fear of loud sounds for about a year and a half (ever since an incident in a hotel room with a clock radio that caught her off guard).  I’ve even tried tapping on the specific incident several times with no luck.  Every thunderstorm has her crying and shaking, every train that passes by makes her cover her ears, the door buzzer at Grandma’s house makes her not want to go there, and she doesn’t even like going in public restrooms because the toilets flush so loudly.

Last night (the 4th of July) I knew I wanted to tap on her before she went to bed to see if I could help her through what could be a long night of loud noises.  I tapped on her “Even though you’re afraid of loud noises you’re still an awesome kid,” but she still complained that she was going to hear the noises during the night.  Then I tried going over the incident that started it all in great detail while tapping on her.  She still claimed to be worried about being alone in the room if the noises woke her up.  I then tapped on her being safe in our house, in her bed, even if no one else was in her room.  She still seemed anxious.

Then I took her hand and tapped her own hand on the points while she told me how scared she was going to be.  Before we finished the first three tapping points she was giggling (which I thought was just because I was moving her hand around her face, etc.).  I left her room after that hoping for the best.

There ended up being plenty of noise last night to test her out.  Between the professional municipal fireworks displays going on in all of the nearby towns followed by the neighbors who had their own noisemakers on our block, there were plenty of loud bangs.

This morning she woke up chipper having slept through the entire night without crying out for us.  I asked her if she heard any of the noises while she tried to sleep and she answered gleefully, “I heard them Mama, but they didn’t bother me!”

Thanks so much.  I’ll keep tapping on myself and my family and hope to learn so much more!

Sincerely,

Giselle Walsh
