Fears And Phobias

Being Alone

A subtle, complete and rapid cessation of the fear of being alone

Important Note: This article was written prior to 2010 and is now outdated. Please use my newest advancement, Optimal EFT. It is more efficient, more powerful and clearly explained in my free e-book, The Unseen Therapist™.  Best wishes, Gary

Hi Everyone,

What more powerful result could you ask for than to have a substantial problem vanish so completely that you forgot you even had it? Fortunately, with EFT, this subtle (but powerful) result happens with some frequency.

This deserves The National Pure Elegance Award because it is so light on the client. On the other hand, it is so subtle that the client is not likely to recognize this astonishing event. EFT practitioners may have to tap themselves for perceived rejection because the client may not give you credit for your work. You may have to point it out to them and, even then, they may "explain it away" using "reasoning" that better fits within their belief system. This phenomenon, of course, is known as the APEX problem.

A thank you to Margaret Haines, a seasoned therapist, for her personal example of this "forgot I even had the problem" result.

Hugs, Gary

Hi Gary,

Maybe the APEX problem got the better of me because I had "forgotten" how I got rid of my fear of being alone at home.

Within the first week of receiving the EFT course I did one or two rounds "just for the heck of it" on my fear of being home alone. I am ok if my kids are home or if I have a German Shepherd, but was generally fearful when alone (note the shift from present to past tense). Since the tapping about 4 weeks ago I have had no fear at all and am surprised at myself for not being more in awe than I "should," since I am quite in awe as far as other EFT results are concerned.

For example I also rid myself of a fear (or better called creepiness) around little animals such as my son's dwarf hamsters. Two rounds of tapping enabled me to hold the formerly called "monsters," now renamed "cute little critters." A side effect is that I now actually care if they leave their cage and possibly die, whereas before the tapping I wouldn't have cared at all, because they were icky anyway.

Other anxieties I've helped children with were fear of ghosts, fear of going away to camp, fear of spiders, and of bees.
