Hi Everyone,

This brief article by Anne Stevenson shows us why being intuitive with your language can sometimes make the difference in an EFT session.

By Anne Stevenson

Dear Gary -

I am one with limited success so far in trying to do EFT on myself.  But one day last week I slammed the top of a revolving-top cooler on the base of my thumb.  Besides the pain which had an intensity level of 7 out of 10, I was in my room in a boarding school on a reservation where I stay part of the workweek.  Also I had several days of paperwork and computer work ahead of me.

I immediately did EFT with little or no effect.  OK, why? So I tried a different affirming phrase and used my old Texas accent and sweet talk: "Honey, you are sooooo special, Why you're just so gooood, Of course, sweetie, you REALLY accept yourself..." And in minutes the pain was completely gone and there were no lingering effects.

Sincerely yours,

Anne Stevenson
