Hi Everyone,

After a severe and traumatizing dog bite, Amee Shah from India helps her client 'get back to normal' around dogs. She says, "I followed up with her a week later and she was back to her regular routine. Her wounds are healing well, she no longer carries a stick for protection while walking. I asked her if she has come across any dogs in the past week and she said plenty, but they do not bother her."

Hugs, Gary

Dear Gary,

Hi! I have learned EFT since 18 months and have been using it with quite good success. Recently, a friend of mine, Malvi, had a horrifying experience.

She had gone for her yoga classes which were being held at a nearby park. After class, as she was waiting outside the gates on the pavement to cross the road, a large black stray dog suddenly ran out of the park and attacked her from behind. He sank his teeth into her thigh and just would not let go. She had nothing in her hand to beat him off with either. She finally managed to get free and went to a clinic next door to her shop, which was just down the road, for emergency help as she was bleeding profusely.

The doctor cleaned her up and told her to keep a close watch on the dog, as he said that if the dog died she had no hope of surviving and would die very quickly. That, coming on top of the horror she had just been through, was too much. She got herself to a hospital where she was treated and anti-rabies medication started. She narrated all this to me when I had phoned her by chance, a couple of days after the incident. She said she had not left the house since coming back from the hospital, she was scared to walk on the road anymore, and when the children tried to ask her about the episode it sent shudders down her spine. On top of which was the fear that she would die if the dog was rabid.

She agreed to do a session with me whenever I was in the vicinity. Luckily, we had a meeting a few days later at her shop, and while waiting for another person to arrive we did a quick session. She had done EFT with me before on another issue, so we dove right in.

Even though that black dog bit me…

Even though he attacked me suddenly from the back...

Even though he sank his teeth into me and wouldn't let go...

She said she was already feeling better. Nothing that she could pinpoint, but just better in general. Also, the person we were waiting for arrived, and the meeting got underway. Later, at the end of the meeting, we tapped further.

Even though I was bleeding so profusely... Now she suddenly said she just could not get over his face and showed me a snarling face inches away from her face. So we tapped, Even though I can't get over his face...  Now she said his face is not "in her face" anymore, but is smaller and farther away. So, we tapped: Even though I still have some of his face remaining...  Now she said his face was fading.

Even though that doctor told me, if the dog died I would die too...

Even though it sends shudders down my spine to think of it…

Even though I'm so frightened to walk on the road...

Even though the wound still hurts I ask my body to heal in the quickest way.

I was running late for another meeting by then and had to run, but told her to tap one more round on her own,

Even though the dog bit me, I forgive him.

Only short cut rounds of tapping were done on all of the above. I followed up with her a week later and she was back to her regular routine. Her wounds are healing well, she no longer carries a stick for protection while walking. I asked her if she has come across any dogs in the past week and she said plenty, but they do not bother her. Only, she used to love dogs previously, but now she does not feel that love anymore. But the paralyzing fear is totally gone.

Thanks Gary. EFT is changing my life.

Love,

Dr. Amee Shah, Mumbai
