Useful ways to expand the EFT Set-up Phrase

Shoshana Garfield from the UK shares a useful EFT expansion. Note the humor and flexibility involved. Properly done, it can jump start an otherwise uneventful session.

This is about how I combine the Patricia Carrington's choices method with the traditional EFT Set-up Phrase. I allow, in concordance with Gary's newer approaches, to allow my Set-up Phrases to be rather large. For example:

Even though parts of me (have this problem), for whatever reasons, known and unknown (to cover past live stuff and ancestral inheritance), conscious or unconscious, other parts know (opposite of negative cognition), and now, because I SOOOOOOOO love and accept myself!!!!! (laughter usually comes here), I choose to make it safe at all levels of my being, and give myself permission at all levels of my being, to release (problem cognition) from all levels of my being. I do so hereby swear!! Here I go, releasing (problem)!!!!

I generally only say this once(!!) and then do a shortened version to get three mentions of the problem, such as, I choose to let this (problem) go because I so love and accept myself ... Even though some parts of me (have this problem, believe this cognition), other parts of me love me so much that they are going to teach these other parts that they are really, despite appearance, inspired by love too! And let's find a way to hold on to the wisdom and let go of the comedies...

And then I proceed with the points...

I've (got this problem, believe x about myself), and I'm fabulous anyway!

I've (got this problem, believe x about myself), and I totally love and accept myself anyway!!!

I've (got this problem, believe x about myself), and it doesn't matter, because I'm fabulous!!

I've (got this problem, believe x about myself), and I'm totally awesome!!! (etc.)

I've (got this problem, believe x about myself), and it doesn't matter, because I'm magnificent!!

This is usually with a lot of laughter because the acceptance statements are so extreme and enthusiastic. They can kick up tail enders too, so watch out for that also. This technique needs some rapport to do because the extremity of the self-acceptance part is often so out of line with what they really feel; it can't be so very much out of line that it is totally unbelievable, and they must trust you enough to go along with it and enjoy the play whilst they expand their comfort zone of self-love.
