Using EFT Rhymes for children

Important Note: This article was written prior to 2010 and is now outdated. Please use my newest advancement, Optimal EFT. It is more efficient, more powerful and clearly explained in my free e-book, The Unseen Therapist™.  Best wishes, Gary

Here's a useful idea from Don White in Australia that involves using simple rhymes to help children use EFT. This could make a BIG difference for some age groups. Also, while Don suggests a specific rhyme in his article, there is nothing stopping us from adopting a wide variety of rhymes for this purpose. Plenty of room for imagination here.

Hi Gary,

I am a taxi driver in Perth, Western Australia. I originally learned EFT from your Manual and I have bought all your brilliant videos.

My reason for writing does not follow the usual format, but it hit me like a ton of bricks, and, if my intuition is correct, it could, with some refinements, be very important for children.

With such a build-up I hope my idea has some merit. It came from the belief (correct or not) that the children's nursery rhyme and game - Ringa ringa roses, came from, and helped the children cope with, the trauma they experienced, during the Plague of London.

My theory is that if children are taught to tap with a simple rhyme, then they will teach others, as kids do, and their game will help spread the word among our younger citizens.

During the day - between fares, in the taxi I jotted down a few ideas:

Name of the game: Happy Tapping! The rhyme:

Happy Tapping is lots of fun
You can do it on your own - or with anyone!
Tap tap tap on the top of your head,
Tap tap tap do just what I said!
Tap on your eyebrow just near your nose.
Then the side of your eye where the hard bone grows.
Now on the bone - under your eye,
Don't poke your eye or you'll make yourself cry!
Now under your nose - but over your lips
Tap tap tap - with your finger tips!
Now under your bottom lip - but over your chin,
Just on the bit where your chin goes in.
Now under your collarbone - but over your chest,
Under the bump of the bone is best!
The last on the list is under you arm,
To make sure you get it right - slap with your palm!

If you still don't feel good - don't go to bed,
Start tapping again on the top of your head!

Kind regards Don.
