Getting specific on pain....this time on an insect sting

Here is a good example of how getting specific with EFT can often complete the process.

By Carol Shea, RN

While weeding, I got stung on the back of my upper arm. I didn't see the type of insect, but I did feel the sharp stinging pain and heat and saw the area expanding and turning red around the welt, which was increasing in size.

I EFT'd for the insect sting, the stinging sharp pain, the welt and the redness. After about five rounds of EFT, the sharp pain and welt disappeared. However, I was left with about a three inch in diameter red area that was still very sensitive, especially to touch.

I periodically tapped for redness and inflammation and pain, which resulted in the redness and pain disappearing but for only a short while. Both symptoms would always come back. About the third day, I finally thought of how I could be more specific:

Even though there are toxins and poisons in this arm area, I choose to clear them.
Toxins and poisons.
Toxins and poisons/clear.
Clear.

The redness and sensitivity then immediately disappeared!
