Carolyn Reuben, an acupuncturist, give us this brief story about yet another of EFT's "one minute wonders." This kind of thing happens so frequently that physicians and other healing practitioners might consider trying EFT before resorting to any other treatment. Why not? It only takes a minute to do one simple round of EFT. It could save having to resort to drugs or other invasive methods.

Reading Angela Treat Lyon's "one minute wonder" with the bank teller, I am compelled to relate my own wonderful EFT success story for the week.

I walked into the HMO waiting room to register for an x-ray and found the clerk holding a tissue to her right eye, which was dripping and inflamed. She couldn't focus on my needs, but only kept repeating that leaves had flown into her eye this morning and she was miserable.

She was acting as if she didn't know which way to turn, where to go, what to do, trying to escape her discomfort. I asked if I might help and reached for her hand. "Even though my right eye is teary and in pain...." I then continued by tapping on the head, face, underarm, and wrist points, saying, "My right eye....this pain in my right eye....this pain...this pain."

I stopped to see how she was doing after one round, and she was standing with her mouth open, in shock. "I'm going to tell the whole hospital about you!" She chirped. "I'm going to tell the ophthalmologists about you! Do you have a card?"

She proceeded to tell the other clerks who wandered in about how this woman (pointing to me sitting down, now) did "hypnosis" on her and cleared her eye. I explained it was EFT and gave them all the website, which is printed on my acupuncture office card. I give thanks for this ability to do acts of loving kindness wherever we are.
